Emerging Writers’ Festival Roadshow 2012

Saturday 3rd November, 2012, 10 am – 6 pm

The Emerging Writers’ Festival returned to the NSW Writers’ Centre in November 2011, presenting the best of their annual ten-day festival in a special one-day event.

The program included a series of panels and discussions about writing, writers and literary life; practical sessions such as The Pitch – offering no-holds-barred advice on the art of pitching your writing to editors, publishers and agents; the much-loved Creative Writing Bootcamp; and Living Library.

Guests included Mark Dapin (Spirit House), Charlotte Wood (Love & Hunger and Animal People), Jane Gleeson-White (Double Entry: How the Merchants of Venice Shaped The Modern World), Barry Divola (Nineteen Seventysomething), James Bradley (The Resurrectionist), Kirsten Tranter (The Legacy), Stephen Romei (literary editor of The Australian), Eddie Sharp (Erotic Fan Fiction), Pat Grant (Blue), Pip Smith (Penguin Plays Rough), Lee Tran Lam (FBi Radio), Jennifer Wilson (The Project Factory), Walter Mason (Destination Saigon) as well as representatives from Allen & Unwin, Random House, Fourth Estate, Hachette, New Holland and Eureka Street.
