Festivals
NSWWC workshops and festivals have given me skills and inspiration. Susan Beinart, Writer
The NSW Writers’ Centre presents three festivals throughout the year – each a celebration of writing that brings together emerging and established writers for an inspirational day of panels, discussions, workshops, readings, book signings and networking.
The first festival of 2012 was the Playwriting Festival on Saturday 3 March, curated by award-winning playwright Kate Mulvany (The Seed, The Danger Age). Click here for more details. The Kids and Young Adult Literature Festival, curated by Susanne Gervay (I am Jack, That’s Why I Wrote This Song), will be held on Saturday, 30 June and Melbourne’s Emerging Writers Festival returns to Sydney on Saturday, 3 November.
There are always book sales, gourmet food and coffee, plenty of free parking and you are welcome to join us on the veranda at the end of the day for a complimentary post-festival drink. NSW Writers’ Centre members also receive a generous discount on festival bookings.
