Experienced book publicist Jaki Arthur presents a motivating and inspiring workshop all about book publicity – how it works, why it works, what it can do for you and how to do it!

You will discuss today’s media landscape and where your work and ideas fit within it, learn how to identify and approach targets, and when (and when not) to pitch, and finally, learn about the current book retail landscape in Australia and the Australian publishing industry in general – its strengths and its weaknesses.

You will discover where you and your work fit and how you might best be a positive advocate for your own work in this crowded marketplace. You will learn valuable, practical tools that you can apply to yourself and your project to take it to the next stage – the public stage!
