In today’s world of instant communication, it is important for authors to understand the changes in the media landscape and how to navigate them. It’s no secret newspapers and magazines are declining while online and social media are taking off. How does this affect the promotion of a book? We reveal how you can get on top of this changing world and use the new media to maximum advantage.
We discuss the role of the author in the publishing process, including large multi-national publishing houses, small independent houses and self-publishing. You will learn how to target the correct market for your book through the right media. We’ll give you tips to help you target coverage to where it really matters and to where the book buying market for your book is.
Finally, we will detail each step of the publicity process, from press releases to pitches to book launches so that you can make sure you get the best bang for your buck.
