Robert Gray is offering a course which looks at the history of poetry in English and at the techniques which make the best of this work so effective. He offers new ways to use these traditional skills, which students can draw upon in writing their own work. He also aims to sharpen critical judgment and appreciation, so as to improve the spontaneous, crucial decisions a poet makes while in the act of writing. Who: Emily Maguire
Complete Course – Three Phases

In the course’s second phase we’ll put some flesh on the bones of your novel, looking at structure, style and theme, and going deeper still with character, voice and plot. Finally, in Phase Three, we’ll work on turning your very good novel into a brilliant one. We’ll cut the fat, plump up the too-lean bits, polish the language and do whatever else is necessary to ensure your novel is ready to step out in the world. .....
