Library

Centre members receive free access to our library. The library contains an extensive collection of literary journals and other writing-related publications.

Literary journals play a vital role in the development of aspiring and emerging writers and are often the first place a new writer will receive publication. Every journal is different and journals often recommend writers seeking publication read a few issues before sending in their work. In our library writers are encouraged to do just that.

We’ve also got a substantial collection of how to guides for writers covering everything from getting started to getting published. Alongside these is our collection of anthologies of fiction, poetry and other Australian writing.

Opening Hours

The library is open Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm and on Saturdays 9am – 1pm. Please call the Centre on (02) 9555 9757 to make an appointment for use.
